Konovalov Alexander Vladimirivich

Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation

Alexander Vladimirivich Konovalov was born on June 9, 1968, in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). 

After military service (1986-1988) and graduating from St. Petersburg State University  (1992) entered the service in prosecution authorities as an assistant to The Public Prosecutor of the Vyborgsky District of St. Petersburg. 

From 1992 to 1994 worked as investigator for the Office of The Public Prosecutor of the Vyborgsky District of St. Petersburg, Prosecutor of the division for supervision the observance of federal security legislation in the St. Petersburg Office of the Public Prosecutor, Deputy Public Prosecutor of the Moskovsky District of St. Petersburg, Public Prosecutor of the Moskovsky District of St. Petersburg, Deputy, First Deputy Prosecutor of St. Petersburg, Public Prosecutor of Bashkortostan.

From November, 2005 to May, 2008 - Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District.

From May, 2008 - Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation.
